FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER (HOME BASED) - Thames Ditton - Surrey

Our client is seeking a Field Service Engineer to assist in developing and maintaining quality within fleet solutions based organisation. This is a home based role with extensive travel around the UK vetting preferred suppliers.
Responsibilities:
To continually liaise with manufacturers to ensure full co-operation is available with regards to technical advice, parts available and warranty
To carry out regular visits/audits of internal workshops and PSP’s to ensure compliance of working procedures and all quality standards are consistently being met. Producing action plans with the purpose of achieving these set out standards;
To attend and participate in such training courses as deemed necessary;
To liaise with the Workshops, Preferred Service Providers (PSP’s) and Client’s regarding technical developments, service check lists, vehicle specifications and other areas including external visits;
To liaise with Client’s to review compliance of specification, technical and quality issues;
To carry out regular audits to inspect/continually improve the quality and standard of work carried out within internal workshops and PSP’s;
To carry out vehicle inspections and investigations as required by the Company. Producing a detailed report and resolve/advise actions;
To represent the company at all Client Vehicle Examinations with the purpose of producing a detailed technical report of the examination and initiate/advise required actions. Progress all actions through to completion, presenting an overview, if required to Clients or designated meeting as required;
To manage the performance of PSP sites in accordance with contractual obligations/requirements;
To identify and resolve quality/technical issues and produce technical instructions for circulation to internal/external technicians (VIB’s and operational instructions);
To fully investigate and produce a written response within set timescales relating to quality/safety concerns raised by Clients, with an action plan if required.
Essential Criteria
A qualified motor vehicle or similar environment.
Solid administration experience

Relationship Management experience
High level of Industry/ Technical knowledge/awareness
City & Guilds Motor Vehicle Technology Parts 1 and 2
Candidates must be computer literate with a positive, proactive and flexible outlook and have a full clean driving licence.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience plus excellent benefits. Company car included.
